In land surveying the objectives are to define
property boundaries, locate natural and man-made features, and to indicate precise locations of future "improvements" through
the collection of physical markers.
Most of the following will be based on the analogy of "defining boundaries".
Which is achieved by traversing through a series of points and returning to where you started, the P.O.B or Point Of Beginning.
"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." GENISIS 1:1
"In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and
without him was not any thing made that was made...And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory,
the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." JOHN 1:1-3;14

Accuracy is imperative to achieving
a good closure in surveying. The instrument which measures the angle and distance between points, must be set at zero degrees
to a backsight point. Once the instrument is "zeroed" it is then possible to set the next point and move to it. When the instrument
is set-up on the new point the process starts again by "zeroing" on the point it previously occupied.
" I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which
is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. " REVELATION 1:8
Looked at in the Spiritual sense; we're each an "instrument", each "point" is
a day or a circumstance, and the way to "zero" is through prayer. Keeping in mind that the objective is to close the loop
at P.O.B. the importance of zeroing the instrument cannot be stressed enough!!! If you don't zero consistantly you will not
obtain a "True" closure.
"Pray without ceasing." 1 THESSALONIANS 5:17
Each "point" presents a variety
of challenges as terrain, foliage, buildings, and other obstacles may impede progress. The harsh reality is that sometimes
it is necessary to cut through three-hundred feet of briar and or mountain laurel up hill in high heat and humidity. So too,
it is often the case that we must not merely endure, rather persevere and overcome trials, tempations, persecutions, lies
and decptions in order to reach the next point.
" I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that
thou shouldest keep them from the evil." JOHN 17:15 " Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand
against the wiles of the devil." EPHESIANS 6:11
